2015 EE Wilson Pond Aeration Windmill
Association of Northwest Steelheaders–Mid-Valley Chapter helped ODFW install a windmill at EE Wilson Pond near Corvallis to restore dissolved oxygen levels necessary to support planted rainbow trout. ODFW had cut back on its trout stocking program at the pond as the result of low oxygen levels but will now resume trout releases. The pond serves anglers and many schools in teaching about fish resources in our area. This project was funded by ODFW with volunteer labor from ANWS–Mid-Valley Chapter members to assemble and erect the windmill and surround with a fence .
