2015 Alsea River–Ermie Walters Boat Ramp Project
Improvement of a severe erosion drop-off at the bottom of the Ermie Walters boat ramp was corrected with a Siuslaw National Forest Service grant used to install additional concrete at the bottom of the ramp to stabilize the ramp base and maintain the ramp angle. The project included silt removal, brush cut-back and addition of rip-rap on the upstream side to protect the ramp addition. Our design included tie-off loops to allow boaters to fetch their tow-rigs rather than requiring someone to hold the boat.
