2016 S Santiam River–Pleasant Valley ADA Access
Pleasant Valley Park Project provided a new ADA fishing platform on the South Santiam River. This work was performed for the City of Sweet Home under an ODFW R&E Grant to improve an existing angler access point with full ADA compliant access and improve parking and boat handling at the park. Grant application and a significant portion of the work was performed by volunteer labor from the Association of Northwest Steelheaders–Mid-Valley Chapter. The end result was a better place to go fishing for more anglers.

Note that a sigificant amount of rock breaking was required to level both the parking and the platform areas to convert the original 3 parking spots to 10 plus 2 ADA compliant parking places.
The slide show below takes about 5 minutes.
