Annual Egg to Fry in the Classroom
Each year ODFW provides aquariums, chillers, aerators, and circulation pumps to Mid-Valley classrooms. Eggs are delivered in the fall, they hatch and become fry, then are released into local streams by the students. About 300 fish fry are release each year by each classroom (about 18,000 total). Program includes 35 classrooms in the local Albany communities and 31 classrooms in the local Salem communities.
